Suzanne Breedlove, Music Teacher

Suzanne Breedlove was born in Chattanooga, TN but was raised in Marietta, GA with her parents and 3 siblings. She graduated from Marietta High School and then attended Furman University, where she received her degree in Music Education. After graduating from Furman, she taught music in Cobb County Public Schools outside of Atlanta and was the children’s choir accompanist/director at her home church in Marietta. She then moved back to Greenville, SC, where she taught in elementary schools for 2 years, followed by 2 years in Orlando, Florida where she began a choral program in an inner city middle school. In 2002, her family moved to Knoxville, TN where she taught piano for 15 years and music in a private Classical Christian school for 4 years.
Suzanne and her husband, West, moved to Chattanooga in the summer of 2017, and she is delighted to be beginning her 8th year at Brainerd Baptist School. She and West have a daughter named Abby (21) and a son named Ben (17). They are active members of First Presbyterian Chattanooga. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys reading, playing the piano, walking, and spending time with her family…preferably at the beach! Her life verse is John 3:30, “He must increase, I must decrease.”
