Lindsay Mercer, 3rd Grade Teacher

B.S. – East Tennessee State University

Lindsay was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN. She is a BBS alumnus, attending Brainerd Baptist School from K3 to 5th grade. Lindsay went on to graduate from Chattanooga Christian School where she attended from 6th to 12th grade. After high school, Lindsay attended East Tennessee State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Marketing. In July of 2022, Lindsay married her middle school sweetheart Matthew Mercer. They love to travel and spend time with their family and friends. This will be Lindsay’s fourth year teaching. She spent the first two years of her teaching career at East Brainerd Elementary where she taught 1st grade, but felt called back home to BBS. Lindsay is very excited to be a part of the 3rd-grade team for a second year and being a part of the Brainerd Baptist community. Matthew and Lindsay enjoy being a part of their church, Silverdale Baptist, and their small group. One of her favorite Bible verses is Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
