Lauren Snyder, Guidance Counselor
B.S. – Bryan College
M.S. - Richmont University
Lauren was born in Knoxville, Tennessee but grew up in the greater Chattanooga area with her parents and three siblings. She attended Bryan College and received her Bachelors in Psychology in 2016. It was during her time at Bryan that she met her husband Joe and they were married in December of 2017. Continuing her education at Richmont Graduate University, she received a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Within the program, she had the opportunity to work with both adolescents and adults at both Henegar Counseling Center and Covenant College. After graduating, Lauren worked for a local hospital specializing in counseling and social work.
Lauren and her husband attend Northshore Fellowship, where they are involved in Bible studies and volunteering efforts throughout the church. They have three small children who they adore! Lauren loves spending time with family and friends, being outside, and going out for a yummy brunch. Through various walks of life, she has spent time working with children, which she believes to be her passion. Lauren is thrilled to be starting her third year at Brainerd Baptist as the guidance counselor.
One of her favorite scriptures is from 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”
