UNIT: Laura Numeroff - author study

LANGUAGE ARTS: We will be working on Letter Yy. We will focus on the following skills: the “y” sound and writing Yy correctly.

F & F Unit: Cause and Effect - “One thing can make another thing happen.”

MATH: We will be constructing and drawing shapes, graphing, covering pattern block designs, and skip counting by 5’s, 10’s and 2’s.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

Our 100-day celebration will be on January 30th. We will have many exciting activities centered around the 100th Day theme. Students are required to bring in a 100-Day Project. Some examples include posters of 10 different items glued on in groups of 10. Details on this project can be found in the homework packet.
Kindergarten tries to go outside every day unless it is raining or frigid temperatures. Please send a jacket, hat, and gloves. Don’t forget to label everything.
