K5 Overview

September 8th - 11th

 Memory Verse: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all of your strength.” Deuteronomy 6:5

Unit: Rhyming

Language Arts: We will focus on the letter G and blending it with the sounds of O and L to read our first word!! 

Math: Students will be working on numbers to 10. We will practice counting, ordering, comparing numbers, and thinking about the different ways in which numbers can be put together and taken apart (composed and decomposed).

F & F: Visualizing and Retelling 

Announcements:  

  • Please remember that our day begins at 8:15. If your child enters the room after 8:15, he/she is tardy. On our report cards, 5 tardies equals 1 absence. DO NOT drop your child off in the classroom before 8:00 a.m. 

  • Please make sure your child is bringing their blue tote bag each day (they do not need any other bag). Also, please be sure to return your child’s Tuesday folder. Remember to leave all toys and valuables at home. 

  • Please send in a water bottle labeled with your child's name. We also have snack every day. Please send in a healthy snack if your child would like one.  

  • Please label all items with your child’s name, especially jackets and sweaters.

  • If your daughter comes to school wearing a dress or skirt, please have her wear shorts or leggings underneath.
