Janine McCurdy, Librarian
B.S. – Tennessee Temple University
Janine McCurdy was born in Live Oak, Florida, and moved to Chattanooga as a young child. After attending Tennessee Temple Elementary, middle and high school, she continued her education at Tennessee Temple University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She continued her education at Trevecca Nazarene where she earned her Library Science Certification.
Janine met her husband while attending college. They are blessed to be the parents of Ben who lives in Chattanooga with his wife Holly and their four children and Christina who lives in Apison with her husband Steven and their daughter Hattie (a Brainerd Baptist student). She has been in education for the past 34 years, serving in various roles which have included media specialist, admissions director, and 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 6th-grade teacher. She counts it a privilege to invest in the lives of students and families. Her prayer is that she will let her “light shine before others so that they will see her good works and glorify the Father which is in heaven” Matthew 5:16.
