Chris Shields, Chief Financial Officer/Ice Cream Man

Chris joined Brainerd Baptist School as CFO in 2016. He was born and raised in Crossville Tennessee and earned a B.S. in Business Management from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville. After moving to Chattanooga in 1991, he earned a B.S in accounting followed by a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He subsequently passed the CPA exam and worked as an auditor for the firms of Hazlett, Lewis & Bieter and Arthur Andersen. Chris' children, Zoe and Ethan, are alumni of Brainerd Baptist School and Chris has spent many volunteer hours here, most notably as the ice cream man. Chris and his family are members of Brainerd Baptist Church where he has served on the Children's Leadership Team and is an active volunteer in the children's department.
