Ally has provided speech therapy services on campus with BBS students since 2021 and is excited to officially become a staff member as of 2024. Ally is a Chattanooga native and graduated from Notre Dame High School. She obtained her undergraduate degree at UGA majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Next, she earned her Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a concentration in Aural Habilitation through UTHSC-Knoxville. She obtained certification as a Listening and Spoken Language Specialist through the AG Bell Academy. Ally has gained experience practicing as a pediatric SLP for the last 12 years in a variety of settings in Nashville, Birmingham, and Chattanooga, which has allowed her to provide support for a variety of communication needs. She has been able to serve the communication needs of children in outpatient clinics, children's hospitals, schools, preschools, and private practice.
Ally and her husband, John, have two little girls who are current BBS students. The Smiths enjoy traveling, spending time outside (especially near any body of water), and hosting gatherings for family and friends. She and her family are parishioners of OLPH.
